SYMPTOMS
========

After you install the Microsoft Exchange Client for Windows 3.x you might
receive the following error message:

  Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device number 0489, service 0006. Your
  Windows configuration is invalid. Run the Windows Setup program again to
  correct this problem.

CAUSE
=====

If you are running Microsoft TCP/IP version 3.11a for Windows for Workgroups,
you will receive this error.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, upgrade to version 3.11b of Microsoft TCP/IP for
Windows for Workgroups.
