SYMPTOMS
========
When you attempt to access a data CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive while CD Player is
running, you may receive one of the following error messages:
<driver letter>:\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect.
The system cannot find the drive specified.
The device is not ready.
CAUSE
=====
CD Player opens all available CD-ROM Drives in exclusive mode.
RESOLUTION
==========
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
- Close CD Player before you attempt to read a data CD-ROM.
- Insert the Data CD-ROM before you start CD Player.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows NT. We are
researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
