SYMPTOMS
========
If you attempt to insert a JPEG picture object into Microsoft Word from Photo
Editor, Photo Editor appears to stop responding when you click "Exit and Return
to <document>" on the File menu.
After a long delay, Photo Editor inserts the picture into Microsoft Word and then
quits.
CAUSE
=====
This problem occurs when your computer has 16 megabytes (MB) of random access
memory (RAM) or fewer.
WORKAROUND
==========
To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
- Increase the amount of RAM on your computer.
- or -
- Use another paint or photo program, such as Microsoft Paint.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Photo Editor 97.
MORE INFORMATION
================
This problem mainly occurs on 486/33 computers with 16 MB or fewer of RAM, and a
2-MB video card.
