There is no command or control in Flight Simulator 98 to change the volume of
the stall and VOR notification beeps. The volume setting in Microsoft Windows
controls the volume of these markers.

You can adjust the volume of these notifications by adjusting the volume in
Windows. To do this, use the following steps.
NOTE: Changing the Windows volume setting changes the volume for all sounds in
Windows.
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Multimedia.
3. On the Audio tab, move the Volume slider in the Playback area to the volume
you want, and then click OK.
You can also turn off these notification beeps by following these steps:
1. When you are in the cockpit, click Preferences on the Options menu.
2. On the Sound tab, click the Navigation check box to clear it. This turns off
the VOR sounds.
3. Click the Cockpit check box to clear it. This turns off all cockpit sounds,
including the stall sound.
4. Click OK to return to the cockpit.
