SYMPTOMS
========
When you attempt to stop the information store from a command prompt by typing
"net stop msexchangeis" (without the quotation marks), and then pressing ENTER,
the following error message may appear:
The service cannot be controlled in its present state.
RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server
version 5.5. For more information, please see the following article in the
