SYMPTOMS
========
When you try to install Windows Services for UNIX 2.0, you may receive the
following error message:
Windows Installer - Another version of this product is already installed.
Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the
existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control
Panel.
You may also receive the following messages:
Windows Services For UNIX Installer Information - The beta version of
Services for UNIX has expired.
Services For UNIX Installation: Fatal Error - Installation ended prematurely
because of an error.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior occurs because the Beta version of Windows Services for UNIX has
expired. When it expires, you cannot invoke Windows Installer to uninstall it.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows Services for UNIX 2.0
Beta.
