- In Windows(R) 95, if the SUSPEND button is pressed twice, system
will hang. - In Windows(R) 95, even if Power Management is enabled,
the SUSPEND button will not appear.
- In Windows(R) 95, 3COM(R) 3C509B ISA PnP Network Card will have
a warning (!) message, and will not function properly.
- When booting with 3COM(R) 3C590 PCI Network Card boot ROM, the message
"Press H to boot from hard disk" will not appear.
- Intel(R) P54C-200 MHz CPU will sometimes be detected as 210 MHz
during boot-up.
- With on-board 256K cache, adding a 256K cache module will cause
the system to hang during boot-up.
- After performing FDISK in Windows(R) 95, DOS FDISK will recognize
the primary partition as non-DOS and the partition size will be 2MB
lesser.
- These problems have been fixed in AI78. 3. New Functions:
- The AMD(R) PR166 and 200 CPU is now supported.
- The AMD(R) K6-166 CPU is now supported.
- "Boot from CD-ROM" and "Windows(R) NT 4.0 Auto Installation" functions
are now supported.

1. This is an AMI(R) BIOS release.
2. This BIOS solves the following problems of the previous version:
- It will take 13 seconds for the BIOS to show the screen message.For
AI75, this has been reduced to 8 seconds.
- When using AMD(R) CPU and 512K cache is installed, only 256K is
detected.
- If the boot sequence is set to "CDROM, C, A" and a non-bootable
CD-ROM is in the drive, the system will hang-up upon boot-up.
- When using Mitsumi 6X CD-ROM and CTRL-ALT-DEL is pressed, the system
will sometimes show "FDC Failure".
- If a CD-ROM is installed in 2nd channel, upon boot-up, the system
will show "Press F1 to continue".
- If printer is set to 3BC, there will be a warning in Windows(R)
95.
- During Power Saving mode, when speaker is working and the green
switch button is pressed, speaker will emit some noise. - All these
problems have been fixed in AI75.

2. This BIOS solves the following problems of the previous version:
- Cyrix(R) P166+ CPU (133MHz) will sometimes show 150MHz.
- When "SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay" is set to "2 Clocks", system will
hang up while booting.
- In Windows(R) 95, Supra Express Modem Card driver will not install
properly.
- In Windows(R) 95, Realink LAN Card driver will not install properly.
- Hard Disk will enter Suspend Mode by itself.
- Using some VGA cards (esp. ATI Mach 64) with Viewsonic monitor,
sometimes there is no display after software reset.
- Using Acer DCS Soundwaving Pro C-S509 with Crystal chipset PnP sound
card will cause the system to hang up after warm reset. Furthermore,
it will not work properly under Windows(R) 95.
- ISA Modem Card cannot use IRQ 9. (Basically, the application driver
must support IRQ 9 to test this function.)
- "Boot sector virus protection" function will fail.
- Using Intel(R) 200MHz CPU with Hitachi 16MB (at SIMM1 and 2) and
Hitachi 8MB SIMM (at SIMM3 and 4), system will hang up while booting.
Exchanging 16MB and 8MB position is OK.
- System will sometimes show "Cache Bad" while booting.
- System will sometimes show "768K" or "Disable cache size" while
booting.
- Using Adaptec PCI SCSI Card in Windows(R) 95, after the system is
shutdown, cannot press CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot.
- All the problems above were fixed in AI73.

- System will sometimes hang up when CTRL-ALT-DEL is pressed.
- System will sometimes hang up at checkpoint C1 and C6 upon boot-up.
- All these problems were fixed in WI76.
