Not tested with Award Flash memory Writers 5.3x.

BIOS update file may be not compatible with EEPROM Award writers v. 5.3x and later.
Update procedure depends on the ROM chip type:
EPROM (on the chip under a label is present round or rectangular window) - you need special programmator for UV-erasable EPROM.
EEPROM (flash memory, mark of the ROM chip (under label) begins with 28, 29, 49 (example 28F001BX) - try search older versions of the Award BIOS writers than ver. 5.3. You can also search UniFlash utility.
ROM (ROM chip marked with 27xxxx, example 27C010) - you can only replace ROM chip with EPROM chip, programmed with new version of BIOS.
