7855 modem - Attaching a 7855 as remote access modem to 6611 router

How should the IBM 7855 be configured when attached to an IBM 6611 as a remote access modem?
Solution:
Using the 7855 as a remote access modem with the 6611 router.
The 7855 modem at the 6611 is configured for auto-answer with the following changes from factory defaults:
In FIRST SETUP, change the modem to ASYNC AT or ASYNC V.25bis. Make this change FIRST.
In TOTAL CUSTOMIZE, go to DTE INTERFACE and then to DATA TYPE and then to IDLE/DATA...ASYNC and change the ASYNC FORMAT to 8N1.
In TOTAL CUSTOMIZE, go to DTE INTERFACE to ASYNC DTE SPEED and set DTE SPEED to 2400.
In TOTAL CUSTOMIZE, go to DTE INTERFACE to SIGNALS to FROM 7855 TO DTE to RLSD (109) and set RLSD ON...CONNECT.
In TOTAL CUSTOMIZE, go to DTE INTERFACE to COMMANDS/RESULTS to MESSAGES and set MESSAGES....OFF.
