TP General - SCSI or ATA cards in a docking station/port replicator may not work after suspend and resume.

Applicable to: World-Wide

Symptom:
A SCSI or an ATA card in a docking station or a port replicator becomes inactive after suspend and resume. It works properly if you do not enter standby before you enter suspend.

Configuration:
A SCSI or an ATA card in a docking station or a port replicator attached to any ThinkPad.

Workaround:
Use the PC card in your system PC Card slot or discontinue use of standby and disable auto standby. To disable the auto standby, enter " PS2 standby 0" at DOS command prompt. Note that some new models do not have this command option and the standby timer is always disabled.

Additional information::
Microsoft will release a fix sometime in the near future. Please visit the Microsoft Support site for additional information/updates.
