Aptiva - How to install / uninstall Caesar II
Applicable to: United States
To install Caesar II onto your Aptiva:
1. Double click on the Aptiva Installer
2. Insert the Caesar CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the drive light to go on and then off.
3. Click on the "find install program" button if application was not installed previously or if installed previously, select "show uninstalled programs" tab.
4. Single click on the Caesar II icon to highlight it
5. Click on the install button
6. Click on install again at the main menu
7. Click on yes to test the system for compatibility
8. Click on OK if the CD-ROM is listed correctly ( drive G:)
9. Click on continue at the system test results screen
10. Click on yes to copy the files to the C:\SIERRA\CAESAR2 directory
11. When finished loading, click on exit to exit the main menu
12. Click on OK after reading the sound configuration text
To uninstall Caesar II from your hard disk:
1. Double click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Click on the show installed programs tab
3. Place the Caesar II CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the drive light to come on and then off
4. Single click on the Caesar II icon to highlight it
5. Click on uninstall
6. Select Caesar II as the Sierra product you want to uninstall and then click on OK
7. Click yes to confirm the uninstall
8. The second confirm uninstall will say Caesar II has been successfully removed. Click OK. If no other Sierra products are on your Aptiva, you will get a second dialog box stating that all of the Sierra products have been removed. Click OK to exit. This will remove the icon from your start menu.
