1.0 What's new in this version
This section describes the changes in this updated version of the Netfinity Advanced System Management processor device driver diskette

1.1 Modifications to Service Processor Device Driver timeout increased to 4 minutes for flash code update commands.
While executing flash code update commands, the device driver shall use a command timeout of 4 minutes. If a remote machine is being flashed, the user must check if the wait time prior to shutdown / reboot of the remote machine (set by the 6.3.1 command) coupled with the time for post BIOS memory check is less than 4 minutes. If these parameters take longer than 4 minutes on the remote machine, then the driver shall report an erroneous timeout, even though the remote flash command may have succeeded.

1.2 System Management Device Driver default timeout increased from 10 seconds to 45 seconds.
For all other commands (except commands involving flash code update), the device driver default command timeout has been increased from 10 to 45 seconds. Certain commands like 2.5.3, 7.4 may occasionally take longer to execute than the other service processor commands.

1.3 The Service Processor driver has been upgraded to include support for NetWare 5.0. The same driver can be used for NetWare 3.2, 4.x and 5.0 operating systems. For NetWare 5.0, an updated fix for MPS14.PSM file (available in Support Pack 2 for NetWare 5.0) is required. This file can be downloaded from Novell's web site : http://support.novell.com

1.4 Service Processor Driver upgraded for Windows 2000 support.
Please refer to the installation instructions for Windows 2000.

1.5 Fix to Service Processor driver only affects new installations on NetWare 3.2 and 4.x operating systems.
If this is a new installation of the Service Processor device driver on Novell NetWare 3.2 or 4.x operating systems, you may encounter a problem during setup. Novell has moved some of its infrequently used kernel function calls from CLIB.NLM to CLIBAUX.NLM. For this reason, you may need to make sure that CLIBAUX is installed prior to installing the Service Processor device driver. If your server does not have CLIBAUX.NLM, a copy can be obtained from Novell's web site: http://support.novell.com
