Aptiva - 2158/2163/2164 Considerations - Extra Netscape icon added by IGN

Description:
When Updating IGN version, the new one adds another Netscape shortcut to desktop. The new shortcut does not work.
Models affected:
2158, 2163, and 2164 with Netscape Communicator
How to duplicate:
1. Connect to IGN.
2. After getting connected, say Yes to updating the IGN version and the phone list.
3. Install the new version download.
4. When it is complete, it has added a white Netscape shortcut icon to the desktop and it does not work.
This is in addition to the Netscape icon that is there by default.
After rebooting, the white netscape icon is now just like the one that is there originally, but still does not work.
It is also added to the Start menu.
Root cause:
IGN has verified that this is a problem of the software that is being downloaded. They are working to correct this problem.
Workaround:
Remove the extra shortcut:
- With the mouse select the white Netscape icon on desktop.
- Right click
- Select delete
The icon will be removed.
