Preferred Keyboard - Accessory and care suggestions

Below are items that need to be considered when using the Preferred Keyboard:

1. ThinkPad users will require an IBM Keyboard/Mouse Connector Cable, Marketing Part Number 54G0441, to connect directly to ThinkPad PS/2 mouse port.
2. Spilling liquids onto the keyboard may cause it to fail, especially sugary liquids. If liquids are spilled in the keyboard try the following:
   • Turn the keyboard over to dump out the liquid.
   • After powering down and unplugging the PC, unplug the keyboard from the PC.
   • Run the keyboard under tap water for several minutes (do not immerse).
   • Turn it over to dump out all liquids and let it dry in that position for 72 hours.
3. Dirty keys can be cleaned with a mild cleaner and a damp cloth. Avoid getting liquid into the keyboard. Keys can also be removed for cleaning (they pull straight up and off.)
