IBM IntelliStation M Pro (Type 6889, 6897) - Unable to install Windows NT 4.0 with Adaptec ARO-1130

SYMPTOM:
After booting the system from the supplied Windows NT 4.0 CD, the system stops and indicates that "the system does not have a hard disk drive" after selecting the "S" option to install vendor device drivers.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip applies to the IBM IntelliStation M Pro, M/T6889, equipped with the Adaptec ARO-1130 SCSI RAID controller. The condition is seen when the supplied Windows NT CD is used to install Windows NT on a new fixed disk drive, or to reinstall Windows NT on a reformatted fixed disk drive.
The condition applies to the supplied Windows NT 4.0 CD marked "For Distribution Only with a New PC" which is bootable.
FIX:
It is recommended that Windows NT 4.0 be installed using the three Windows NT 4.0 installation diskettes.
The installation diskettes can be created from the supplied Windows NT 4.0 CD by entering the following command from the \I386 directory on the Windows NT 4.0 CD:
"winnt /ox" (without quotations).
