TP 701 - U.S.A. AC Adapter Replacement

If you do a parts exchange for the US 1 piece AC adapter for a ThinkPad 701 (type 2630) be aware of two issues.
1) Originally the NiMH battery and one piece U.S. AC adapter incorrectly used the same FRU number. The customer may see the number 04H6197 printed on the AC adapter. If you order 04H6197, Parts Exchange will ship a 701 battery.
** PLEASE ORDER FRU P/N 04H6903 WHEN PARTS EXCHANGING THE U.S. ONE PIECE 701 AC ADAPTER **
2) The one piece 701 AC adapter is being subbed to a two piece AC adapter. The power cord is seperate and WILL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY SHIPPED. Parts Exchange will automatically sub 04H6903 to another AC adapter.
Currently it is FRU p/n 85G6675 which requires a seperate power cord FRU P/N 13H5264. A second case must be created to request the power cord. You must request 04H6903 from Parts Exchange. The AC adapter is a return item, the customer will be charged if the part returned is not the part Boulder is expecting.

The ThinkPad 2630 was announced 3/7/95 and has a 3 year warranty on the AC adapter
