Aptiva - 2163/2164 Considerations - DMARQ and DMACK on the IDE bus are very noisy

Description:
With a Quantum Eclipse+ HDD in a V66M system some signal quality issues were observed.
NOTE: no functional impact was observed.
Models affected:
2163 and 2164
How to duplicate:
Populate specified drive and observe DMARQ and DMACK signals on the IDE bus.
Root cause:
DMARQ and DMACK on the IDE bus are very noisy, but no functional impact was observed.
Workaround:
Acer investigating and will phase in an EC when/if required.
