The purpose of this ECA is to replace keyboard bezels that show paint peeling from the palmrest / bezel.
The application of this ECA shall be "Fix On Fail" only! This ECA shall be implemented World Wide.

PHYSICAL CHECK:
Evidence of paint peeling or wearing off in the palmrest area with no signs of customer misuse. Misuse is defined as customer induced damage by scratches made in painted keyboard bezels/palmrests etc.
This ECA affects current FRU p/n as listed below:

Some systems listed in the above section have had paint wear or peeling in the keyboard bezel palmrest area. If this situation occurs, replace the Keyboard Bezel with the new FRU as follows:

When performing any service action, replace the Keyboard Bezel with the new FRU IF it shows that the keyboard bezel / palmrest paint is peeling or waring off.
NOTES:
This ECA will expire January 01, 2000.
Order all FRU parts locally, and record Time and Material to service code 33, ECA 008, and OTHER OFFICE 990.
This ECA is Non Billable as long as this ECA is Active.
