Windows 95 Considerations

After selecting to return to the Root Menu during playback of a DVD movie, garbage will appear on the LCD screen for a second and then disappear.

During the playback of some DVD titles, a blank space will appear on the left and right edges of the display.

When the system unit is docked to the docking station (ThinkPad port replicator with advanced EtherJet), some PC Card modems might not work after the computer resumes normal operation from power management mode.

SCSI cards and ATA cards might not work after you put your computer in standby mode. Resume normal operation, suspend operation, and try to resume normal operation.

Some Combo cards and CardBus cards do not work after you put your computer into suspend mode from the Windows Start button and resume normal operation.

PC Cards might not be recognized after you warm dock your computer to the docking station.

When you insert the PC Card while the computer is in suspend mode, the computer reboots automatically instead of resuming normal operation.

In 256-color mode when you play a movie using MediaPlayer and pause it, the color of the movie is sometimes not correct. You can recover the proper color by replaying the movie.

The color palette sometimes has strange colors when you switch the display device to CRT only while in full-screen playback with the MediaPlayer. This is intermittent.

Remote power-off is not complete when the "Please wait while your computer shuts down" screen is displayed during standby.

When suspend is attempted with a USB camera attached, the suspend fails and the camera is disabled. If this happens, unplug the camera from the USB port and plug it in again. The camera will then be re-enabled.

When one CardBus card is already configured in the system slot or port replicator slot, the second CardBus card must be configured using the system icon on the control panel. The second CardBus card cannot be configured automatically.

The wizard device driver does not work correctly when you click the Browse button and search the driver directory. To install the audio driver, type the full path.

If CardBus card is in use, no other PCMCIA card may be hot plugged.

A newly inserted CardBus PC Card may not be recognized correctly.
