IBM PC300GL (Type 6561, 6591) - White or gray screen with OS/2 Warp 3.0

Symptom:
When using OS/2 Warp 3.0 with the proper installed video driver, the screen may go gray or white when pressing Ctrl - Esc or by pressing both mouse buttons at the same time.

Systems Affected:
IBM PC 300GL M/T 6561, 6591

Problem Isolation Aids:

• Operating system is Warp 3.0
• Using Cirrus Logic video drivers for OS/2

The problem will appear to be video driver related. This is not seen when OS/2 video is set for standard VGA mode.

Fix:

• Upgrade system BIOS to latest version. Click here to obtain the latest flash BIOS.
• Upgrade system video drivers to latest version. Click here to obtain the latest video drivers.
