Abstract:
Screen goes blank: 2237-24N Aptiva monitor

Symptom:
The monitor screen blanks during a mode change operation (monitor LED stays green). The monitor remains blank if the power switch is switched off then on again.

Problem isolation aids:
Problem may occur when using an Aptiva 2163, 2164, or 2158 system with a 2237-24N monitor attached.
Workaround:
The following operations can recover the monitor:
1. Power off the monitor.
2. Unplug the monitor line cord.
3. Unplug the video interface cable from the system unit.
4. Replug interface cable and monitor line cord.
5. Power on the monitor.

Fix:
The monitor must be returned to have a rework applied, if the customer feels it is impacting his business. Return monitor to the country stock room. SAS
