Aptiva - 2159 System freezes after installation of Mwave drivers

Description:
Computer freezes on the Windows splash screen after reinstalling the Mwave drivers.

Models affected:
2159 systems which had the Mwave adapter installed.

Explanation:
The Mwave drivers did not complete installation.

Workaround:

1. Restart your computer.
2. Press the F8 Function key when "Starting Windows 95" appears in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Safe Mode Command Prompt Only from the Microsoft Startup Menu.
4. At the DOS prompt, enter edit config.sys
5. Type rem to the left of Device c:\mww\manager\dwcfgmg.sys.
6. Press the ALT + F keys to pull down the file menu, then press X to exit the editor.
7. You will be prompted to save the changes to the file. Select Yes to save your changes.
8. Restart your computer.
9. Your computer should now boot normally.
