Use these instructions to install Windows 2000 on a hard drive. These instructions do not cover upgrading from another operating system or previous version of Windows NT.

1.0 What you will need
Follow the Network Operating System (NOS) instructions provided in this document sequentially unless you are instructed differently. Windows and messages might differ from those in this document. Throughout this document the term 'select' is used to mean, use the arrow keys to highlight a selection on a menu.
A supported hard drive. Refer to http://www.pc.ibm.com/compat for a list of supported options and part numbers for your server.
Check the BIOS version currently installed on your system. Install 
Netfinity 3500 BIOS Flash Update version 1.33 or higher. or Netfinity 3500 BIOS Flash Update version 1.33 (Japanese) or higher.
