TP 390,172x - Will not boot from CD-ROM drive

Symptom
System will not boot from the CD-ROM drive. The CD-ROM drive works normally in all other modes.
Configuration
TP 390/E or TP 172x with a CD-ROM drive and set to boot from the CD-ROM.
Solution
Ensure that the drive is set for Master, switch all the way to the right. If it is set for Slave, the middle position, it will work in the operating system but will not boot from it.
