NOTE: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard drive. It will only extract under Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT. The extraction process will NOT work with any other operating system. For instructions on how to transfer files greater than 1.44 MB to multiple floppies, click here.

Installation Guide
NOTE:
If a previous version of this driver is already installed, it must be removed before proceeding with the installation instructions given below. Use the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon in Control Panel to remove the current driver.

1. Start Windows 95/98.
2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
3. Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
4. Double click on the 'Add New Hardware' icon.
5. At the 'Begin installing your new hardware window, Select Next.
If installing on Windows 95 continue to step 6.
If installing on Windows 98 do the following:
- At the 'search for new Plug and Play devices' windows, click Next.
- At the 'Is the device that you want to install listed below?' window, select 'No, the device isn't in the list.' and click on Next.
6. When prompted 'Do you want Windows to search for your new hardware?' choose 'No, I want to select the hardware from a list' and click Next.
7. Under Hardware types, select 'Other devices' and click Next.
8. At the 'Select the manufacturer' window, click on the 'Have Disk...' button.
9. Specify the directory where the driver files are extracted and click on the 'OK' button. The Driver list will appear.
Default path is C:\DRIVERS\W9X\BASEATCH\
10. Select 'ThinkPad UltraBase Hot-Attach Driver' and click Next.
11. Click the Finish button.
12. Restart the operating system.
