Home Director Professional - Enabling sharing with a laptop computer

Note: This document is applicable to Windows 95 and Windows 98.
To install version 5.1 or the most current version of the Home Director software on the Dedicated Processor, follow the instructions below:
- Right click on Network Neighborhood and select Properties.
- Click on the box that says File and Printer Sharing.
- In the window that appears make sure that there is a check mark in the box that says "I Want To Be Able To Give Others Access To My Files".
- Click OK and exit the window.
- Go to the CD-ROM icon in My Computer, right click on it and select Properties.
- Click on the "Sharing" tab and select "Shared As".
- Type "CD-ROM" (must be in caps) in the "Share Name" field.
- Click OK and exit the window.
- Sharing has now been enabled and you can proceed with installing the Home Director software onto the Dedicated Processor.
- Insert the Home Director Installation Boot Diskette in the Dedicated Processor while the laptop is connected to the Network module in the Home Network Connection Center (HNCC).
- The diskette will boot the Dedicated Processor, and the Home Director CD in the laptop will automatically start to install to the hard drive of the Dedicated Processor.
