Aptiva - Install New Font menu option is grayed out in Windows 95

Description:
In Windows 95 the Install New Fonts menu option is grayed out.
Models Affected:
All Windows 95 Preloaded models.
Explanation:
When you go to Control Panel, open the Fonts folder, and then Click on File.
There should be an option Install New Fonts in the menu.
Workaround:
There is a fix to this problem. Do the following:
1. Click on START - PROGRAMS - MS-DOS PROMPT
2. Make sure that you are in the Windows directory i.e. C:\WINDOWS>
If you are at a plain C:\> prompt, type CD Windows to change to the Windows directory
3. Type attrib +s fonts and press the ENTER key
4. Return to Windows by Typing exit and press the ENTER key
5. Click on START - PROGRAMS - WINDOWS EXPLORER
6. Look for the FONTS directory which is part of the WINDOWS directory.
You can double click on the WINDOWS folder to list all its sub-directories
7. Right mouse click on the FONTS folder. You will now get a drop down menu.
8. Click on RENAME
9. A cursor will now appear in the FONTS folder and you will be able to change the name of the fonts folder.
10. Change the name of the FONTS folder to IBM and press the ENTER key
11. Now find the IBM folder
12. Right mouse click on this folder and select RENAME from the menu
13. Change the name of this folder back to FONTS and press the ENTER key
14. Now when you go back to the FONTS folder in CONTROL PANEL and click on File, you will have the option Install New Fonts
