PS/1-Aptiva - What is the MD or MAKEDIR command?
Applicable to: World-Wide
The MKDIR command is issued from the DOS command prompt. If you wish, instead of typing out the full command MKDIR, you can use the abbreviated form, which is simply MD. Issuing this command, followed by a directory name, will create a subdirectory on the specified drive. A subdirectory allows you to divide the disk so you can store files in a logical method. For example, you may want to make a GAMES subdirectory to store all of your games.
Example (from the C:/> prompt type) MD GAMES (then press the enter key)
The above example will create a subdirectory named GAMES.
