Aptiva - Colors print incorrectly on Works charts

A Works spreadsheet may not print using the colors chosen for the chart for one of the following reasons:
1. The printer may be unable to print in color.
2. The printer may not be set up to print the colors used on the chart (incorrect color options, out of color ink, the colors are
not available, and so on).
3. The printer driver you are using may have a problem printing color charts from Works. The printers known to have this problem are:
HP DeskJet 500C (using versions 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, or 3.0 of the printer driver)
HP DeskJet 550C (using versions 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, or 3.0 of the printer driver)
Tektronix Phaser III PXi
RESOLUTION:
The HP DeskJet version 3.1 driver corrects this problem. Contact Hewlett-Packard for more information.
WORKAROUND:
Works for Windows, Version 2.x: To print a chart in colors displaying on the screen:
1. From the File menu, choose Printer Setup. Next, choose the Setup button.
2. Choose the Options button.
3. Change the Dithering option to Pattern or Cluster. Choose OK. Now, re-create the chart with the new dithering settings. To enhance the chart's colors when printing, copy the chart as a bitmap or picture to a Word Processor document and print it.
To copy the chart to a Word Processor document as a bitmap or picture:
1. While viewing the chart, make sure Display As Printed is not selected in the Options menu.
2. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
3. From the File menu, choose Create New File and then select Word Processor.
4. From the Edit menu, choose Paste Special.
5. In the Paste Special dialog box, choose Picture or Bitmap, and then choose the Paste button.
You can now print the chart from the new Word Processor document. You can size the chart by selecting it and choosing Picture from the Format menu. If an older driver is being used, the only possible permanent solution is to get an updated printer driver from the manufacturer.
