IBM PC - Central Point Backup for Windows application error

Symptom:
Executing Central Point Backup utility for Windows generates the error "Application Error - integer divide by 0". The machines affected are 6571, 6573, 6581, 6583, 6585, 6875, 6876, 6885, 6876, 6886

Problem Isolation Aids:
With Windows running, double-click on the Backup icon in the IBM DOS Tools group. Single-click on the Backup button. Locate Configure on the menu bar and single-click on it. Verify that the Backup Speed is set to High to medium on the drop-down list box when it appears. If the setting is not High or Medium, single-click on Speed Backup and select High or Medium speed. When the backup Speed popup window appears, click on "ok".

Single-click on the Select Files for Backup button. All of the files will be selected automatically after the utility verifies the integrity of the drive, so single-click on OK when this finishes. Now insert a diskette into the drive and single-click on the Start Backup button. Single-click on OK when the Back Description and Password popup window appears. The error message "Application Error - integer divide by 0" will appear.

Fix:
The executable has a software defect that is exhibited when executing on 486 DX and Pentium processors greater than 60MHz.
1. Double-click on the Backup icon in the IBM DOS Tools group.
2. Single-click on the Backup button.
3. Single-click on Configure (on the menu bar).
4. Single-click on Backup Speed when the drop-down list box appears.
5. Single-click on Low speed when the Backup Speed popup window appears.
6. Single-click on the OK button.
7. Proceed with backup.
