IBM PC300GL (Type 6267, 6277, 6287) - Unknown device(s) detected after Welcome Center installs

Symptom:
After installing all applications via the IBM Welcome Center and restarting the system, Windows 95/98 detects unknown devices.
Problem isolation aids:
This tip applies to IBM PC300GL Series 6267/77/87 systems preloaded with Windows 98 or reinstalled with Windows 95.
Fix:
If "Unknown Devices" are detected after installing all applications via the IBM Welcome Center, remove the devices in Windows Device Manager and restart the system.
The "Unknown Devices" should not reappear after restarting the operating system.
