Aptiva - E-Series: Vertical operation of CD-ROM / DVD drives
Applicable to: World-Wide
There have been several cases where customers have asked if there were any problems with using an Aptiva E-Series system on it's side and/or making the CD-ROM / DVD-ROM work vertically. Aptiva does not make any claims regarding, or support vertical operation of these systems. All Aptiva PCs are designed and tested to be used in the horizontal position only.
If, however, the customer decides to use the drive vertically, below is a list of the drives, and which of them have the clips for vertical operation.
