56K/33.6K Plug and Play ISA Modem - Error 1825 on POST
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
Getting an 1825 POST startup error while using a IBM PC 750, machine type 6887 with a 56K PNP Modem.
Resolution:
This error means no I/O address is available for the modem. Press F1 and go into the Configuration Utility. Check to see if both serial ports are enabled. If they are, disable one of them. This error is most likely the result of both ports being enabled and the modem having no available resources. Once you have disabled one of the ports, save the settings and re-boot. The error message should disappear.
