TP 701 - Screen scrolls when moving mouse and CRT
Applicable to: World-Wide
Description:
If you have your ThinkPad 701 hooked up to an external display and whenever you move the mouse pointer to the edge of the screen, the screen scrolls towards the mouse pointer, leaving the pointer closer to the centre of the screen.
The customer is running in resolution of 800x600.
The problem only occurs when the ThinkPad lid is open.
Solution:
Ensure that the display is set to use both CRT and LCD. If you select the display to only use CRT and you open the lid, the drivers switch down to 640x480, giving the user a 'virtual desktop' of 800x600.
