Aptiva - 2144/2168 Re-installing the Hyperman game
Applicable to: World-Wide
Question:
I think the Hyperman program on my system has become corrupt. Can I re-install it?
Answer:
Here are the steps involved to re-install Hyperman:
1. We need to get to a DOS PROMPT.
In Windows 95, click on "START", choose "PROGRAMS" and select "MS-DOS PROMPT". Click "Yes".
In Windows 3.1, click on "FILE" and choose "RUN" and type C:\COMMAND.COM and press "ENTER".
2. Type CD\ and press "ENTER".
3. Type DELTREE C:\HYPERMAN and press "ENTER". This will delete the Hyperman files. If you have a saved game, it will be lost in this process.
4. Place the HYPERMAN CD into the CD-ROM drive. Wait for the light to go out on the CD and type D: and press "ENTER".
5. At the D:\> prompt type SETUP followed by "ENTER".
6. This will install the Hyperman program into the IBM Multimedia Group. You can run the game from there now, or drag the icon to the Aptiva Entertainment Group.
