IBM ValuePoint - Characters dropped from video

Symptom:
When an application that scrolls text is used (for example, 3270 or modem terminal programs), the last 10 characters (columns 70-80) on the last line of the page do not appear on the screen. The machines affected are 64xx. The root cause in this case is the S3** video device driver.

Problem Isolation Aids:
The problem occurs in the following situation, ValuePoint Performance Series with a 3270 application scrolling text on the screen. Also, when you scroll text, see if columns 70-80 appear properly.

Fix:
Update the S3 video device drivers to Version 1.31 or later.
