Question:
Can I define more than eight charts?

Answer:
No. Works allows the creation of up to eight charts for a single spreadsheet. If you attempt to create an additional chart, an error message is generated. You may either delete or redefine an existing chart. If you must create more than eight charts for a spreadsheet, you must copy the spreadsheet to a new spreadsheet.

A workaround follows:

1. Highlight the area of the spreadsheet on which the charts are based.

2. Select "Copy" from the Edit menu.

3. Select "New..." from the File menu, choose Spreadsheet and press [Enter].

4. When the new spreadsheet is opened, press [Enter] and the data from the original spreadsheet will appear in the new spreadsheet.

The original spreadsheet is not altered in any way. The copy is identical to the original except that it does not include any charts. You now have room to create up to eight more charts. If the original spreadsheet changes, recopy the data into the copy. The updated data will replace the data in the copied spreadsheet and the charts will reflect the new data.
