Aptiva - Processor upgrades and HWCHECK

The program HWCHECK, which is normally loaded as part of the boot sequence of Aptiva computers, is responsible for updating the system information tool. Running HWCHECK from a DOS command line might update the System Information Tool. Many times, especially after upgrading processors, the software incorrectly identifies your hardware.
