IBM 3153 ASCII Terminal Display - Beeps every time a key is pressed
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
The 3153 beeps every time a alphanumeric, or function key is pressed.
Background Information:
When a 3153 key is pressed, the 3153 sends the host a single alphanumeric character or an ASCII character sequence. The
operating system or application determines how it is processed.
Recommended Solution:
In most cases the beep is a result of the host operating system or application sending the 3153 a Bell (BEL) ASCII control
character. A Bell (BEL) ASCII control character causes the 3153 to generate a 'beep' sound.
Persons should contact their system administrator, programmer, or application developer.
