IBM IntelliStation M Pro (Type 6889) - IBM Speak Pad Reader causes system hang

SYMPTOM:
After starting IBM Speak Pad Reader in ViaVoice Gold, the application operates poorly and halts the system.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip applies to the IBM IntelliStation M Pro Series 6889 systems equipped with the Matrox Millenium II AGP video adapter, and preloaded with Windows NT 4.0.
The hang condition is only seen when the color palette is set to 15-bit color depth.
The graphic that is reading to the user becomes distorted when moved from one area of the screen to another.
FIX:
Download and install the updated Matrox Millenium Windows NT 4.0 video driver, filename ZA8T29A.EXE. Higher levels of this driver may be released in the future.
