TP General - How to disable suspend on a ThinkPad under Windows 95
Applicable to: World-Wide
This document contains information on how to disable the suspend timers on an IBM ThinkPad under Windows 95.
NOTE: This tip does not apply to TP 365C, 365CS, or 365E models.
ThinkPad 380,385,365X/XD,760,765 Series:
1. Click on "Start", then "Programs", and then "ThinkPad"
2. Doubleclick on "Fuel"
3. Observe the Faucet, does it have a hand on it? If not, doubleclick on the faucet until it does. (System is now in customized setting)
4. Click on "Start", then "Programs", then "ThinkPad", and then "ThinkPad Features"
5. Click on the Power Icon, it looks like a battery.
6. Click on the Top Icon that appeared, it looks like a faucet.
7. If on AC ensure that all timer settings read 0
8. Click on Battery and set all timers there to 0 also.
9. Click on "OK" Suspend based on time has been disabled.
ThinkPad 360,750,755 Enhanced Series:
1. Click on "Start", then "Programs", and then "ThinkPad"
2. Doubleclick on "Fuel"
3. Observe the Faucet, does it have a hand on it? If not, doubleclick on the faucet until it does. (System is now in customized setting)
4. Click on "Start", then "Programs", then "ThinkPad", and then "ThinkPad Setup"
5. Click on the Power Icon, it looks like an airplane.
6. Click Settings
7. Click on AC Customized, then Set all timers to 0
8. Click on Battery Customized, then set all timers to 0
9. Click on "SAVE" Suspend based on time has been disabled.
ThinkPad 701:
Press the FN+F1 keys to enter setup and set all timers to 0.
