Aptiva - 2144/2168 (SL-H) Considerations: Trapdoor (OS/2 Single Session) problems with Rapid Resume

Applicable to: World-Wide

Situation:
When a customer uses some of the DOS Multimedia applications they may experience problems running under Warp. This problem only happens on some M30s and M50s. While running one of these applications, the user may experience a loss of sound and lock ups.

Reason:
Trapdoor does not properly restore the system after a Resume.

Response to customer:
Development has released a fix. The fix is a file called HYBERNAT.EXE and is included in the MFIX.DSK and MFIX.ZIP available on the CoSession systems, the BBS, and the Electronic files libraries. This problem only affects systems that are SYSLEVEL BRWWXUS. The fix was incorporated into the BRWWYUS load. To see if a customer needs this fix (or any of the other fixes for BRWWXUS), do the following to determine the SYSLEVEL :

C:\> Type SYSLEVEL.IBM and press "ENTER"
