Aptiva - Ring Central phone book international dial failure

Applicable to: United States

Symptom:
1. User opens Ring Central.

2. Correctly sets his/her default dialing options for default as United States:
1 for long distance
No number for local the standard setting in the United States.

3. Clicks on "Dialing".

4. Brings up the phone book.

5. Clicks on "Add".

6. Creates an INTERNATIONAL entry.

7. Puts in the two digit country code in the county code field.

8. Puts two digits in the area code field (for the city).

9. Puts in six digit number in the number field. (e.g. 123456).

10. Saves the entry (The number is displayed correctly in the list of entries).

11. Tries to dial it by double-clicking on number. It does dial, but it only dials the last six digits, or that which is entered in the local number field.

Note: Ring Central should discriminate the number as an international call and place a 011 before it, then the country code, then the city code, then the local number.

Solution:
The user needs to have seven digits in the phone number field for Ring Central to recognize it as an international number. Where there are only six digits in the local number move the necessary number of digits from the area/city code to the beginning of the phone number so that there are seven digits in the phone number field.
