Aptiva - 2134/2159/2176 Desktop effects stopped animating icons

Question:
I have an Aptiva 2134/2159/2176 computer. The system stops animating the icons when it starts Windows 95. How can I get the animated icons back?

Answer:
If your system stops animating the icons on the desktop, try the following steps to start them animating again.

1. Click on "START" and choose "SETTINGS" and select "TASKBAR".
2. Click on "START MENU PROGRAMS".
3. Click on "ADD".
4. Click on the "BROWSE" button.
5. Find the "PROGRAM FILES" folder and double-click on it.
6. Find the "IBM" folder and double-click on it.
7. Find the "APTDESK" folder and double-click on it.
8. Find the file "MVSLOADER" and double-click on it. The command line should have



C:\PROGRAM FILES\IBM\APTDESK\MVSLOADR.EXE

9. Click on "NEXT".
10. On the Select Program folder menu scroll down and click on "START UP" to highlight it.
11. Click "NEXT".
12. On the Select A Name For The Shortcut Bar, type Start Desktop Effects.
13. Click on "FINISH".
14. The next time you reboot the animation's will start automatically.
