Aptiva - 2134/2176 - Reinstall of Mwave MIDI samples

The following procedure will allow reinstallation of Mwave MIDI Samples on 2134/2176 systems.

Note: On these Aptivas, no option is given to selectively uninstall Midi Samples by themselves.

1. After the computer is on and the Windows Desktop appears, insert the Blue Aptiva Diagnostics CD ROM disk into the CD ROM drive.

2. From "Start" menu SELECT "Aptiva Installer," or SELECT "Aptiva Installer" from the "Aptivaware" icon on the desktop.

3. SELECT the "Show Installed Programs" tab, and then scroll down until an icon for the "Mwave MIDI Full Samples" is found (should be blue and next to Mwave drivers). Highlight the icon and SELECT "Reinstall."

4. SELECT "OK" at the desired location of MIDI Samples; (C:\MWAVE\SAMPLES\MIDIFULL).

5. SELECT "Yes" when asked if you want Windows Mwave MIDI Synthesizer to use this set of Midi Samples. When installation is complete, you will be asked to remove any diskettes and restart your operating system. SELECT "OK" to return to "Aptiva Installer." Click Start, click Shutdown, click Resart Computer, and click Yes, to restart the system.

6. Repeat instructions 3 through 5, but SELECT Mwave MIDI Medium Samples, instead of Mwave MIDI Full Samples.

7. When installation is complete, you will be asked to remove any diskettes and restart your operating system. Remove Diagnostic CD and RESTART the computer.
