Aptiva - Update Connector on my Aptiva is giving a run time error 367
Applicable to: United States
Symptom: Update connector is giving a run time error 367 and will not work.
Solution: This can be corrected by either one of the following methods:
1. Download 367fix.bat 
a. Click on 'Start', 'Find','Files or folders'.
b. Type '367fix.bat' in the dialogue box (without the '').
c. Click on the <Find Now> button.
d. Windows should find the 367fix.bat you just downloaded.
e. Double click on the 367fix.bat icon.
f. When the file starts you will need to press any key to continue.
g. A series of message boxes will appear as the files are registered.
h. Make note of any errors and click on <OK> to close each message box.
i. Click on the 'X' in the upper right-hand corner of the window to close 367fix.bat when it has completed.
OR
2. Manually re-register the correct files with Windows:
a. Click on 'Start' the 'Run'
b. Type 'c:\windows\system\regsvr32.exe c:\ibmtools\updater\olepro32.dll' and press <Enter>
c. You should get a message box stating that the file was registered successfully. Click on <OK>.
d. Type 'c:\windows\system\regsvr32.exe c:\ibmtools\updater\dssock32.ocx' and press <Enter>
e. You should get another message box stating that the file was registered successfully. Click on <OK>.
f. Type 'c:\windows\system\regsvr32.exe c:\ibmtools\updater\stringole.ocx' and press <Enter>
g. You should get another message box stating that the file was registered successfully. Click on <OK>.
h. Type 'c:\windows\system\regsvr32.exe c:\ibmtools\updater\threed32.ocx' and press <Enter>
i. You should get another message box stating that the file was registered successfully. Click on <OK>.
j. Type 'c:\windows\system\regsvr32.exe c:\ibmtools\updater\comctl32.ocx' and press <Enter>
NOTE:
Do Not type the '' in the above lines.
If any errors occurred (i.e. "LoadLibrary("xxxx") failed), you may need to reinstall your update connector software and run 367fix.bat again.
Reason for error:
Some applications make changes to the Windows registry that may cause Windows to use an older version of the library files needed for update connector to function.
Following either of the above mentioned fixes, tells Windows to use the correct files for update connector to function.
The older application that installed the older library files should still functions as before since the files that Update Connector is using are usually more current.
