Aptiva - No Diskette Found message on boot up - EMEA

SYMPTOM:
On each boot up, a small "advisory" window is displayed on the desktop indicating "NO DISKETTE FOUND". Clicking the "OK" button removes the window and the system operates normally. However, on the next boot up, the window will re-appear.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
System affected 2162 "S" and 2161 4xx "L" series.
These systems have the hard files formatted as FAT32 drives.

FIX:
Remove the "Advisory" window:
1. Click "Start", "Programs", "MS-DOS Prompt" to open a DOS window.

2. Delete the file as follows, type in "CD" and press enter to go to the root directory. Type in ERASE MANBOOT.EXE and press Enter to erase the file.

3. Close the DOS window. Any future boot operations will be clean.
