IBM PC300GL (Type 6275, 6285)/PC300PL (Type 6862, 6892) - PC Doctor misidentifies Pentium II Celeron processor

Symptom:
PC Doctor (DOS) enhanced diagnostics identifies 333MHz Pentium II Celeron processors as an "Intel Pentium Pro" processor in System Configuration.

Problem isolation aids:
This tip applies to the following IBM systems equipped with 333MHz Pentium II Celeron processors and supplied with PC Doctor Enhanced Diagnostics (DOS) version 1.9.411, file name T3GT17A.EXE.

IBM PC300GL series 6275/6285 systems
IBM PC300PL series 6862/6892 systems

The processor identification error may be seen in other systems equipped with a 333MHz Pentium II Celeron processor and utilizing PC Doctor enhanced diagnostics (DOS) version 1.9.411.

Fix:
None in version 1.9.411 of PC Doctor Enhanced Diagnostics for DOS.

If desired, the speed and type of processor can be confirmed in the system's F1 setup utility under System Information.
