PS/1-Aptiva - Finding out what files are on a fixed disk or diskette

A directory listing is a table of contents for your fixed disk or diskette. It lists your filenames, their sizes, and the dates they were last updated. To list your files, use one of the following methods:
1. At the command prompt, type: DIR A: to see the contents of a diskette in drive A or DIR C: to see the contents of your harddrive.
2. At the command prompt, type: DOSSHELL and then select the appropriate disk drive icon to see the contents of a diskette in drive A: or the contents of your harddrive.
3. Microsoft Windows 3.1: Double-click on the File Manager icon.
4. In Windows 95 or 98, open the Windows Explorer. You can also open My Computer and then double-click on the drive icon.
