TP 360,370 - Swapping Hard Disk drives between the TP 360 and 370
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
When swapping the hard disks between the IBM ThinkPad 360 and IBM ThinkPad 370 systems, an error may be given within Microsoft Windows indicating that "A program will not run on this system."
PROBLEM ISOLATION AID:
The problem occurs because of the ThinkPad utilities which can be found on the IBM ThinkPad 360 systems. These are not compatible with the IBM ThinkPad 370C systems, mainly because of the differences in Power Management/Battery Management.
SOLUTION:
The resolution to fix this problem is to update the IBM ThinkPad utilities using the ThinkPad 370 Utility diskette. The utilities installed will then work on both IBM ThinkPad 360 and 370 systems.
